Master Bedroom

The master bedroom is about 11' x 12' and is in the front corner of the house. It has two double hung windows, one in front and one on the side. It has the same oak flooring that is in the rest of the house. It has a closet that is barely useful. The door is on one end of the closet, so that you can't get to anything on the other end without trudging through the clothes. This closet butts up to the "useless" hall closet. Since that closet is useless anyway, I can take out the back of it, to merge it with the bedroom closet, and create one giant closet that spans the entire wall of the bedroom. I'll remove the door for the useless closet. I'm then gonna put french doors in the center of the wall and install a big closet organizer system.

My plans for this room include:
  • strip the paint and refinish all woodwork
  • add an electrical outlet
  • remodel closet
  • restore windows
  • refinish floors
  • paint walls and ceiling

My hall closet had shelves in it, which i used for linens. It was conveniently next to both the bedrooms and bathroom.
